Spring Break….A Much Needed Rest!

Spring Break….A Much Needed Rest!

Oh YES! This is what I wanted to do last Friday when it was finally Spring break, but I restrained myself!

The HH and I just had a week off for our Spring break! We are rested and refreshed and I am counting down the days until school is out! Nine weeks….I can do it!!

Here are a few of my favorite photos of the week!

Saw this really interesting sign in a store window in Alabama. Wondering if this can somehow be a problem? Masks?

These lights were in a clothing store in Tuscumbia, Alabama. I loved the one with all the bulbs and only a few were lit. The photo does not do it justice. The canoe light was also fun!

With my Silhouette machine, girl #1 made me a St. Patrick’s Day shirt using iron-on vinyl and I made this napkin label. The napkin holder is a Better Homes and Gardens item from Wal-Mart. Have you noticed that people can never find napkins? Should not be a problem now! After I finished, I wanted to make labels for everything but decided it might be a little overboard.

Every evening we built a fire in our new fire pit from Fire Pit Art and watched the sunset over the water. Very relaxing! We saved all of the ash from the wood to put in the chicken’s dust bath.

On the way home, we followed this semi carrying our favorite beverage! By next week, I will probably need the whole truck load of coffee to keep going!IMG_3559

Tonight, I am chopping and preparing all the ingredients for crock pot pasta sauce for dinner Monday and Tuesday. There should be enough leftovers to freeze for a couple of more dinners in the weeks to come. Do you eat the same meal two nights in a row? We empty nesters do and no one complains either! : )

The DVR is set for The Bridge part 2 which is set to air tonight on the Hallmark Movie Channel. Wyatt Nash stars in the movie, and is a guy my girls went to high school with, yay Wyatt!

I hope you have a great week! Yay SPRING!
