How can you go wrong with any dessert that starts with Oreos? The answer is you can’t! If you are looking for an easy, fast dessert and you like chocolate, Oreo lasagna is it!
Girl #3 and I needed to make a dessert for a wedding shower for girl #1 and we found a recipe on iheartnaptime that we adapted. This recipe is easy to make and can be changed up depending on what you like or what you have on hand.
- 2 packages OREO’s
- 6 Tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 (8 oz) package of cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 Tablespoons cold milk
- 2 8 ounce containers Cool Whip or 1 16 ounce
- 2 (3.9 oz) packages chocolate instant pudding
- 3 1/4 cups cold milk
To make Oreo lasagna, start by crushing an entire package of Oreos. You can use any flavor you want, we decided on original. Place the cookies in a big Ziplock bag and crush with a rolling-pin. We left them pretty chunky. Place the cookies in a 9 X 13 pan and add 6 tablespoons melted butter. Mix butter and cookies and press into the bottom of the pan. Cool in the refrigerator until you are ready for the next step.
Next mix 8 ounces of cream cheese until it is fluffy. Add in 2 tablespoons milk and 1/4 cup sugar. Add 8 ounces of Cool Whip and combine using a stand mixer or hand mixer. Spread on the cookie mixture.
This next step is optional, but highly suggested! We had a second bag of Oreos and crumbled up several and placed on top of the Cool Whip mixture. Again, we went with chunky cookies.
Mix the two boxes of chocolate pudding with 3 1/4 cups milk. This is a little less milk than what is called for to make the pudding thicker.
Next, layer a few more chunky Oreos.
Lastly, layer 8 ounces of Cool Whip on top and…..yes, add a few more Oreos!
Final step: cut a giant piece and eat it! Oreo lasagna was a big hit and I think it tasted better the second day!
