Now that your garden is gradually beginning to grow and fill up the space, how about a few accessories to add a little pop?
If you read my recent post about making a border by up-cycling glass bottles, the bottle tree is another idea to add interest and color. Bottle trees can be found at our local farmer’s market and bottles can be your own or given by friends or local restaurants.
A scarecrow is a fun way to add interest to your garden and scare away unwanted visitors. This one is dressed for success, and is even wearing shoes!
How can you resist a cute little bird for your garden, especially one that does not eat anything you are growing!
Putting together a few clay pots and making a “pot man” can be used under a tree. Consider planting a shade loving plant in the top planter.
Adding a bird house to your flower garden is a great way to add a focal point and color.
For those of you who are bolder (or have had a UFO land in your back yard), how about a giant saucer for visual interest? Planting in the center of this giant garden might prove to be tricky but I love of the idea of using what you have at hand. A garden can be planted anywhere!
